Our fourth birthday celebration on 17th September 2019 featured two special cakes and two special guests. John and Kath Singleton have given tremendous support to Remember that Song over the last four years - they created and help to maintain our website. It was a pleasure to have their company at our birthday celebration and to be able to thank them in person for their generous support.

Our summer programme ended with two rather different programmes and one very special guest. The last session included a special tea and our AGM (which was very short!) and then a rousing programme of "Last Night of the Proms".

Our penultimate session was in the form of an Old Time Music Hall, complete with our very own Music Hall Chairman, Ray Mallett (& supporting musical team) and with very special guest and professional opera singer, Alison Kettlewell, who delighted our group with her solos.

In May 2019 members of Remember that Song really enjoyed a visit from 26 Year 5 pupils from the Maynard School, who not only sang very beautifully on the theme of "The world, the environment and friendship," but also joined in all our musical activities with cheerful enthusiasm. Many thanks to the Head of Junior School at the Maynard (Steven Smerdon) and to their music teacher (Rachel Smith) for making this memorable visit possible. We look forward to a return visit! Many thanks also to the manager of Tesco Metro in St Thomas, who allowed minibuses to be parked there, thus making the visit possible.

Other programmes have included 'Traditions, 'Families', 'Gardens' and 'Food'.
